I'm trying to make sense of this one - GAP have launched a new initiative aimed at getting people, women only though - back into their stores.
The concept is simple (apparently) you log onto their website, select the item you want and then suggest what you are willing to pay for it. The company will then accept or haggle with you. You get three goes at trying to pay your price for the item before the company accepts your offer. It will then give you a coupon with the new price on it.
However you have to use the coupon in stores only. Which for those of us who live in a GAP free city will be delighted with. Mind you, I'm not a GAP fan anyway, but news of their recent troubles including the logo which was canned after customers hated it that much, their firing two executives amongst other things.
While it's safe to say this wont save the company anytime soon, it is an interesting concept.
