Game's 6th studio album, and first full length album as an independent artist, The Documentary 2 has done a full week in stores, and it sold 95,000 copies first week. That is really cool, cos his last two albums, The R.E.D Album (2011) and Jesus Piece (2012) were released on a major label, and they sold 98,000 and 87,000 copies respectively, first week. And with that deal, he had to share the money with Jimmy Iovine, Dr. Dre, and 50 Cent.
But now, EOne Entertainment gets a percentage, and he gets about $3 to a CD sale. That is about $300,000 income from the first week sales alone. The Documentary 2.5 dropped on Friday, and that is also going to do good in the sales department.

"At #2, The Game’s The Documentary 2 scored 82k on the Album Sales Chart and 95k at SPS. In an interesting move, he will immediately follow this release with another album, The Documentary 2.5, which charts next week. Will it be as big as its predecessor? Considering there’s only been one week of pre-orders, we can’t be entirely sure." (Hits Daily Double)
