Louboutin and Roses

Tis the season for bouquets that will make your heart flutter, gourmet chocolates and teary eyed proposals. Cupid’s annual big day is tomorrow. Romance is in the air and you have absolutely no reason not to love up on your partner or heck on yourself :D.

Americans alone purchase fifty eight million pounds of ice cream on Valentines weekend, so if you find yourself with no valentine, be a part of the ice cream buying crew regardless and enjoy a date with your ice cream. Oh and there's always good ole Netflix or Lifetime, hehe. Have fun.

What are you indulging in this V-Day? The darkest of Belgian chocolates? Pure decadence! Dinner at that restaurant where you both had your first date? Couples massage? An intimate candle lit dinner at home, serving all kinds of yummy delights and staying very close to the bedroom? Hehe. The whole shebang? Why not? Relax and enjoy the whole hoopla, we only get one day out of 365 dedicated to romance even though true love should really be celebrated by making everyday special.

If you follow fashion closely you’d remember this Celine camel high waist pants that made the waves in 2014 and had gals all over drooling. I too indulged back then and have styled it many different ways. What I love the most about it is the length. It's not your regular floor grazing length and not too short either. The high waist totally highlights my midsection. The stylish flare leg features buttons down the hem. Gosh how I love that detail! I paired it with of all things a red top. Red is one hue that I am so not drawn to but hey, it’s Valentines and nothing would enhance your ‘hauteness' quite like a red and camel combo - I’m in love!!!

Back to front shirt is my trend du jour (batting my false lashes). I styled one here paired with a skirt and today I'm showing another way to style it. Pony, leopard and lace ankle boots, 2 dozen long stem red roses and Christian Louboutin goodies tied it all together.

That hair though! I know, I know. Like I stated here, some readers on my Facebook page have been asking me to switch things up and sport a different hair style. I’ve loved and worn my pixie cut for the longest time. It’s my signature, period. It takes a strong face to pull off hair as short as mine and baby I think I got what it takes, ;). I said I’d work on it and this is me working on it.

My neice Chisara the 24 year old vlogger of Afrolegalise who believes bright colors and bold hairstyles are reflective of her personality made it happen. It felt weird initially but it’s starting to grow on me. I hope you like it cos it may be around for a minute. As in, I’ll be switching between the short and the long.

The weather has been amazing lately but sadly busy times are not letting up. On a lighter note one of my parents at work walked up to me on Thursday and said, “you have more soul in your shoes than James Brown had in his whole body”. You know I laughed long and hard.

How was your week?

Happy Valentines weekend darlings!
