PLOT
Peter Parker (Andrew Garfield) life is still between taking out the bad guys as Spider-Man and spending time with his girlfriend Gwen (Emma Stone), while high school graduation is quickly approaching. Peter hasn’t forgotten about the promise he made to Gwen’s father to protect her by staying away but that’s a promise he just can’t keep. Peter also uncovers new clues about his past but will things change for Peter and Gwen when a new villain Electro (Jamie Foxx) emerges, and a old friend Harry Osborn (Dane DeHaan) returns?
REVIEW
Firstly I wasn't a big fan of the first part and still think this was/is an unnecessary reboot and that Sam Raimi's Spider-Man trilogy is way better. That aside I'll say the film is a satisfying than its predecessor. The cast was good, especially Sally as Aunt May (once again) and new badies, Jamie ass Electro and Dane as Harry Osborn. Andrew and Emma had nice chemistry, you can feel that they are relaxed with each other but I didn't see great acting from them (it was good for moste of the time though). The special effects were top-notch! In two scenes I was specially impressed. Second issue of the Spidey will give you some thrills, funny lines and even heartbreak but it just has too many downsides. The underdeveloped characters, poor script, way overlong with a weak rushed ending. And what's the deal with multiple villains? Rhino was totally unnecessary and other two were really bad written. It felt like: we're just some stupid villains who must attack and finish Spider-Man. We're not really sure why but who cares? I also expected more Spidey's little actions (not that much romantic stuff) and hero moments. 3/5
