A stylish dog owner bought her whippet a collection of sleek outfits to match her monochrome wardrobe after she wanted him to 'represent' her look.

Paz Castro, 38, from Hackney, London, aspired for her three-year-old whippet Lloyd to mirror her monochrome style of grey turtle necks and neutral fabrics.

The jewellery designer said she was tired of bright clothing in pet stores and wanted him to wear understated outfits that she would opt for herself.

And Lloyd, who has 17,600 followers on his own Instagram account, @allaboutlloyd, reveals how he is 'a hound full of personality and style, living my dream life with my human and partner in crime, Paz'.

His signature looks showcase a palette of navy, white and grey which also matches their Scandinavian-style home.

Paz said she created the Instagram account so friends and family in South America could see him.

However, the fashionista pooch has since featured in magazines such as Petbar and Secret London and is now famous for his laid-back luxe style of muted tones.

Paz said: 'When Lloyd was a puppy, I noticed he shivers a lot, so I wanted to buy him a jumper to keep him warm.

'But it took longer than expected to find something appropriate as I wanted to make sure he represents me.

She continued: 'I have a plain wardrobe so it was only right to make sure my dog wears similar clothing and most pet stores had bright clothes.

'I didn't want anything too "doggy", I wanted to get him clothes that I would wear.

'He has lots of grey, black, and white turtle neck jumpers and a rain mac just like mine.'

And Paz revealed how her and Lloyd often turn heads when they are walking in East London.

'I love looking at people's facial expressions when they see us walking down the street - they seem shocked that my dog and I are matching,' she said.

'Children always smile and want to pet him.'

And after attending London fashion week for dogs, Lloyd's social media followers rocketed along with influencer opportunities and he now promotes bespoke clothing online.

He has also worked with music app, Spotify, Jaguar, and a couple of hotels to promote their pet friendly rooms.

Paz added: 'I initially created a social media account for Lloyd so my family in Chile, South America, can see him.

'But then he began to gain more and more followers and has become an influencer which is great because he now gets outfits for free.

'We are so lucky to work with some amazing brands who really enjoy seeing Lloyd dressed up to.'

Locked-down citizens across the world dress up to take out the trash in online meme - NBC News

People around the world are celebrating rare opportunities to leave the house by dressing in their finest clothes to take out the trash.

Followers of the trend from New South Wales to New York are sharing photos online of themselves donning prom dresses, superman costumes and their Sunday best to make the most of a rare trip outside. One woman even wore her old wedding dress for the task.

"So basically the bin goes out more than us, SO let's dress up for the occasion!" wrote Facebook group Bin Isolation Outing founder Danielle Askew, 47, a kindergarten teacher from Hervey Bay in Queensland, Australia.

Askew's group has more than 800,000 members and clocks hundreds of posts a day, as well as inspiring other groups around the world. A photo of Askew herself in a floor-length aqua ballgown and gold crown graces page's header.

"The concept has taken off because people are social beings and because we're isolated away from everyone, this is a great way that we're able to reach out to mankind, make friends, have a laugh, and still stay sane while we are isolated," said Askew.

"John and Patricia have 'bin' married for 65 years today!" posted one woman alongside a photo of an elderly couple clinking champagne glasses in front of a trash can decked out with flowers and a white tablecloth. "Unfortunately their party has 'bin' cancelled but dad was still able to take mum on a special outing."

Sean Leland, 51, says his kids love seeing the costumes other people create for the mundane chore.Sean and Christie Leland

Sean Leland of Roblin, Canada and his wife Christie have multiple pre-existing conditions that put them at higher risk of contracting the virus. Leland says dressing up as a pirate and a superhero for the weekly chore helps boost morale "during these tedious worrying times".

Thinking up new costumes also comes as "a welcome break" from homeschooling screen-time for Lora Foster-Cave, 49, from Delaware County, NY and 12 year-old son Trace. In their first post to the group on Tuesday, Foster-Cave filmed Trace flossing — a popular dance move — next to the trash cans while dressed as a taco.

Foster-Cave says they're planning another street food costume next. "We've been eating a lot of pizza. So I think we have a pizza box or two to dig out of the pile!"
