Veteran Taarab singer and singer Zuchu’s mum Khadija Kopa has opened up about her daughter’s marriage plans revealing the type of man she would let her daughter settle down with. In the recent interview with Millard Ayo, Khadija Kopa insisted that Zuchu is at the early stages of her music career and for that reason, her only focus at the moment should only be herself and her career rather than marriage as it is too early.
“Mtoto ameanza sanaa juzi atake ndoa sahii? Sidhani. Mtu kwanza inatakiwa asimame kwanza ajione amefijia wapi. Ajisukume miaka miwili mitatu ndio mambo mengine yafuate baaadae,” Khadija Kopa told Millard Ayo in the in the interview.
“Sasa hivi mapema, bado kidogo tu, lakini si neno sababu yule ni mwanamke mtu mzima wakati wowote anaweza kuolewa. Kwa sababu dini yetu inasema ukishaafika umri wa kuolewa, olewa,” said Khadija.

Furthermore, Zuchu’s mother was quick to point out that getting married should be her daughter’s personal choice and not otherwise. She also responded to whether she would encourage Zuchu to get married to a fellow artist saying that she has no issues with whoever she chooses to fall in love with. According to her, she will welcome whoever asks for Zuchu’s hand in marriage since it’s wrong to judge someone just by their profile.
